7 Biggest EDC Week Red Flags According to LIV Las Vegas

EDC Week 2026 Red Flags graphic featuring crowd, production effects, and event branding at LIV Las Vegas.

EDC Week only happens once a year, and if you’re making any of the mistakes below, consider this your warning. From rookie moves to unforgivable festival-week behavior, we’ve rounded up the biggest EDC Week red flags we’ve spotted at LIV Las Vegas.

Red Flag #1: Going Home Before the Headliner

You can sleep once May is over.

You waited all year for EDC Week. You survived the ticket queues, booked the hotel, coordinated the group chat, and somehow managed to make it to Las Vegas.

Leaving before the headliner? That’s a red flag.

The biggest moments happen when the anticipation finally pays off. The lights hit, the crowd erupts, and suddenly you’re reminded exactly why you came. Stay for the moment everyone will be talking about the next day.

Red Flag #2: Getting Ready in Less Than Two Hours

Ever heard of “fashionably late”? EDC Week is not the time to rush.

This is the one week of the year where outfits become a competitive sport. Glitter, accessories, sunglasses, boots, matching group fits—the preparation is part of the experience.

If you’re somehow ready in under two hours, we’re not judging…We’re just a little concerned.

Red Flag #3: Phone Out Behind the Booth

You fought for the best view in the club. Your Instagram followers didn’t.

A quick photo? Fair. A video for the memories? Absolutely.

Holding your phone in the air for an entire set while the artist is ten feet in front of you? That’s where we draw the line.

Some moments are better experienced than documented.

Red Flag #4: Not Wearing Sunglasses

It doesn’t matter if it’s dark outside…that’s not what they’re for.

EDC Week sunglasses have evolved beyond functionality. They’re part of the uniform. Whether you’re walking through a dayclub, recovering at brunch, or dancing until sunrise, the right pair belongs in every EDC Week survival kit.

Red Flag #5: Passing on the Tequila

How else will you justify what you did last night?

Now, we’re not encouraging bad decisions, we’re just saying some of the best EDC Week stories tend to start with a toast among friends and end with a memory you’ll be talking about for the rest of the year.

As always, celebrate responsibly.

Red Flag #6: Forgetting Your PLUR Etiquette

Under the Electric Sky or under the Halo, we’re all just here to have a good time.

EDC Week brings together people from all over the world for one reason: the music. Respect the crowd. Respect the staff. Respect each other.

Peace, Love, Unity, Respect. The classics never go out of style.

With demand at an all-time high, securing tickets or table reservations early is essential. Each night of EDC Week is one of the most exciting times of the year in Las Vegas nightlife. The energy is higher, the music is louder, and the memories somehow get bigger every year.

Whether you’re heading to the Speedway, celebrating at an afterparty, or spending the weekend at LIV Las Vegas, consider this your official checklist of what not to do.

The drop is getting closer.
