About Loe Shimmy
Born Shamar Williams Cox on March 24, 1999, Loe Shimmy is a rapper and songwriter from Pompano Beach, Florida, inspired by a cross-generational mix of Southern legends including Soulja Slim and fellow Pompano Beach native Kodak Black. He began releasing music on SoundCloud in 2020, dropping his debut EP Zombie Land and follow-up World War Z that same year. His debut album Zuper PowerZ arrived in 2021, followed by Z End in 2022. After a two-year hiatus following the death of his brother, he returned with renewed purpose — appearing on Kodak Black's 2023 album Pistolz & Pearlz before releasing Zombieland 2 in March 2024, which featured breakout single For Me with Don Toliver, debuting at No. 78 on the Billboard Hot 100. He dedicated his 2024 project Nardy World to his late brother, and in 2025 he opened for Lil Baby, performed at Rolling Loud California, was named a 2025 XXL Freshman, and released his guest-heavy album Rockstar Junkie — cementing his place as one of Florida's most exciting rising stars.
