Get ready for a night of boundary-defying music as Haitian DJ, producer, and cultural ambassador Michaël Brun takes over LIV Nightclub on Sunday, May 17, 2026. Known for his unique fusion of electronic music, Haitian konpa, Afrobeats, and Caribbean rhythms — and a career dedicated to bringing Haiti's rich musical culture to the world stage — Michaël Brun delivers an uplifting, genre-blending dancefloor experience inside the legendary Fontainebleau Miami Beach.

From headlining Ultra Music Festival and Coachella's Sahara Tent to performing for the Caribbean diaspora at his beloved BAYO festival, Michaël Brun has built one of the most distinctive and purposeful careers in modern electronic music. Miami fans can expect a set that moves effortlessly between electronic bangers, Caribbean grooves, and the feel-good energy that makes a Michaël Brun show unlike anything else.

About Michaël Brun

Born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to a Haitian father and Guyanese mother, Michaël Brun grew up immersed in a rich musical heritage — from the percussion-heavy rara and afro-groove music of Haiti to disco and synth pop. He began playing piano, violin, and guitar as a child before discovering electronic music production as a teenager. After winning a full scholarship to Culver Military Academy in Indiana and then studying pre-med at Davidson College in North Carolina, he balanced his academic path with a rapidly growing music career — becoming one of the first electronic music artists in Haiti, and eventually the first Haitian to perform at Ultra Music Festival in 2014. That same year he headlined Coachella's legendary Sahara Tent alongside Skrillex and Duck Sauce. He founded his own label Kid Coconut in 2014 with a mission to showcase Haitian music and develop Haitian artists, and in 2016 launched his annual BAYO block party — rooted in Haitian Creole for "to give" — which has grown from the streets of Port-au-Prince to sold-out shows at Barclays Center and Prospect Park in New York and stages across the globe. His 2018 single Positivo with J Balvin became the official theme for Telemundo's FIFA World Cup coverage, and he earned a Latin Grammy Award along the way. Signed to Astralwerks in 2023, he has continued his remarkable run of cross-cultural collaborations including Safe with John Legend and Rutshelle Guillaume (2024) and Touchdown featuring J Balvin, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, and Tasan (2025) — which debuted as the anthem for the 2025 NFL Wild Card Weekend on ESPN. As a producer he has worked with Davido, Victoria Monét, Wale, Diplo, Ed Sheeran, Calvin Harris, and Alicia Keys, building a legacy as one of music's most thoughtful and globally minded creative forces.
