Get ready to be transported as Italian melodic techno duo Mathame takes over LIV Nightclub on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Known for their cinematic, otherworldly soundscapes that blur the lines between dub techno, melodic house, and electronica, Mathame delivers an immersive audio-visual experience unlike anything else in electronic music inside the legendary Fontainebleau Miami Beach.
From Afterlife residencies to sold-out shows at Time Warp, Printworks London, and stages across Ibiza, Mathame has become one of the most captivating live acts in the global underground scene. Miami fans can expect a set that transcends the dancefloor — an emotional, hypnotic journey through sound and vision that lingers long after the last note fades.
About Mathame
Born from the isolation of Sicily's volcanic Mount Etna, Mathame is the project of Italian brothers Matteo and Amedeo Giovanelli — despite a twelve-year age gap, the two have always been inseparable through music. Raised in a home filled with records and cassette tapes by parents who ran a pirate radio station in the 1980s, both brothers pursued classical training before finding their calling in electronic music: Matteo studied piano and film directing, while Amedeo dedicated years to the violin before turning to production. The Mathame project was born in 2013 while the brothers were living on the slopes of Etna, helping run the family's bed and breakfast through isolated winters — an environment whose haunting beauty and solitude is deeply embedded in their sound. Their early releases Nothing Around Us, Skywalking, and For Every Forever on Afterlife earned them global recognition and a coveted home on Tale of Us's celebrated label. Their 2020 single Never Give Up was awarded BBC Radio 1's Essential New Tune by Pete Tong, and the subsequent remix package featured Diplo, Lost Frequencies, ZHU, and Adriatique. Their debut album MEMO cemented their reputation as true artists in a genre full of DJs, followed by the Astralwerks singles Come For You and So What — the latter featuring a stunning AI-generated anime music video co-directed by Matteo and Japanese collective Hokuto Atarashi. In 2023 they collaborated with John Summit and Camden Cox on Hungover, and in 2024 continued their prolific output with I Will Find You, Angel, and a high-profile team-up with Tiësto on Discovery Channel featuring Lyke, released in March 2025. With over 1.1 million monthly Spotify listeners, a touring schedule of nearly 150 shows a year — including headline sets at Tomorrowland Brasil, Amsterdam Dance Event, and EDC Orlando — and a live AV show powered by their own custom-trained AI visual system, Mathame continues to push the boundaries of what electronic music can be.
